How many WhatsApp templates you can have, and how to get a higher limit.
There's a limit on how many message templates one WhatsApp Business Account can hold. The limit depends on whether your business is verified with Meta.
How Many Templates Can I Have?

The limit applies to your whole WhatsApp Business Account - approved, pending, and rejected templates all count toward it.
Getting a Higher Limit
To move from 250 to 6,000 templates, complete Meta Business Verification. This is Meta's process for confirming your business is real. Once your business is verified and has an approved display name, the higher limit applies.
When You Reach the Limit
If you hit your limit, you can't create new templates until you free up space. Delete templates you no longer use - old, unused, or rejected ones - then create the new template.
Clear out rejected and unused templates regularly. They take up quota even though you can't send them.
