Blaster
Errors
Common Blaster campaign errors, what causes them, and how to fix them.
When a campaign or a message fails, there's usually a clear reason. This page explains the most common errors and how to fix them.
Why Individual Messages Fail
If some contacts in a campaign show as Failed while others succeed, the problem is usually with those specific contacts.
| Cause | How to Fix |
|---|---|
| Invalid number or missing country code | Make sure every contact's number includes the country code (e.g., 60 for Malaysia) and has no spaces or symbols. |
| Number not on WhatsApp | The person doesn't have a WhatsApp account on that number. There's nothing to fix - remove the contact. |
| Contact blocked you | If a customer blocked your number, your message can't be delivered. |
A high failure rate usually means your contact list needs cleaning. Remove invalid numbers and re-export your list before the next blast.
Campaign-Wide Errors
These errors stop or limit the whole campaign, not just a few contacts.
- Messaging limit reached - You've hit the number of new customers you can message in 24 hours. Wait for the limit to reset, or raise your tier. See How to Increase Limit.
- Account restricted by Meta - Meta has limited or locked your WhatsApp account, usually because of low message quality. You'll need to appeal to Meta; reviews take 24–48 hours.
- Customer can't receive marketing messages - A small number of customers can't receive marketing templates unless they message you first. Ask them to send you a message, then reply within 24 hours.
- Low credit balance - Your account doesn't have enough credit to send. Top up before retrying.
Template Errors
If the campaign fails because of the template:
- Template just approved - A newly approved template can take 15–30 minutes before it's ready to send. Wait a little and try again.
- Template disabled or deleted - Meta can disable a template if its quality drops, or it may have been deleted. Create and submit a new template.
- Variable mismatch - The number of variables in your template doesn't match the values provided. Check that every
{{1}},{{2}}has a value.
Media Errors
If a campaign with an image, video, or document fails:
- The file format isn't supported, or the file is too large.
- Use a supported format and keep files within the size limits. See Media Guidelines for the full rules.
Common Questions
Check your messaging limit and credit balance first. If both are fine, check the template status - a disabled or not-yet-ready template will stop the campaign.
Yes. Open the campaign and use Resend to Failed. This won't help for invalid numbers or contacts who blocked you, but it works for temporary failures.
