Creating Templates
No. Once a template is approved it's locked and can't be edited. Create a new template with your changes instead.
No. Authentication templates use a fixed format for security and can't be modified.
No. Every template needs a unique name. If you see a "same language already available" error, give the template a different name and adjust the content slightly.
No. Each template supports a single language. To reach customers in another language, create a separate template for it.
Content & Limits
Marketing templates can be up to about 1,024 characters, including the values filled into your variables.
Images can be up to 5 MB each. See Media Guidelines for the full media rules.
Templates can't have two spaces in a row. Remove the extra spaces and submit again.
Carousel templates only accept JPG or PNG images.
Approval & Errors
Common reasons are spammy wording, spelling mistakes, unclear purpose, or policy violations. Check the rejection reason, fix it, and resubmit. See Best Practices to avoid rejection.
This usually means your WhatsApp number isn't fully connected or onboarding isn't complete. Make sure your device is connected before creating templates.
