How to Increase Limit
Video Walkthrough
Why You Have a Limit
WhatsApp limits how many unique customers your business can message in a rolling 24-hour window. This is set by Meta, not ReplyLa. The limit protects users from spam and protects your account from getting flagged.
Your tier decides how many new conversations you can start within that rolling 24-hour window. Replies to incoming messages don't count toward this limit.
Messaging Tiers
| Tier | Unique customers per 24h |
|---|---|
| Tier 1 | 250 |
| Tier 2 | 2,000 |
| Tier 3 | 10,000 |
| Tier 4 | 100,000 |
| Tier 5 | Unlimited |
New WhatsApp Business accounts start at Tier 1 (250) by default.
For the latest official numbers, see Meta's Messaging Limits documentation.
How to Move Up a Tier
If you're a new user on Tier 1 (250), you can move up to the next tier by meeting either one of these two paths:

Option 1: Complete Business Verification
Submit Business Verification in Meta Business Manager. You'll need to upload official documents (e.g., business registration, utility bill) that match your business name and address.
- Expected time: typically a few days up to 4 weeks, depending on Meta's review queue and how clean your documents are. Most businesses get a result within 1-2 weeks.
- Once verified, your tier upgrade is applied automatically.
- Business Verification - Free. Verifies your business identity. This is what unlocks tier upgrades and most WhatsApp Business API features.
- Meta Verified - Paid monthly subscription. Gives you a blue checkmark on your profile, account support, and impersonation protection. It does not affect your messaging tier.
Option 2: Hit the Volume + Quality Target
Send messages to 1,000 unique customers within a 7-day window while keeping a good quality rating (Green / High quality). Yellow or Red ratings will block the upgrade.
Once you meet either condition, Meta upgrades you automatically - it re-evaluates roughly every 6 hours, so the upgrade often lands the same day you qualify.
Climbing Past Tier 2
Business Verification and the 7-day target above only apply to leaving Tier 1. Once you're on Tier 2 (2,000) or higher, you don't repeat them - climbing happens on its own.
Your tier number is your rolling 24-hour sending capacity. Meta moves you up to the next tier automatically when, over the last 7 days, you've started conversations with a healthy share of your current limit while keeping a Green quality rating. It re-checks roughly every 6 hours.
In short: keep blasting a solid volume to a clean, opted-in audience, and your limit grows by itself - no extra paperwork needed.
How to Keep Your Quality Rating Green
Quality rating drops when customers block you or report your messages as spam. To stay Green:
- Only message customers who expect to hear from you. Cold blasts to scraped lists is the fastest way to get reported.
- Use approved templates that feel personal. Use variables for customer names and details.
- Don't over-blast. Avoid sending the same campaign to the same audience repeatedly.
- Time your blasts well. Don't send at 3 AM or during sensitive periods.
- Give an opt-out option. Let customers reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to leave your list.
